Some more pics from the Saturday on the pier and in the arcade next door.

In the UK

Long time since the last update... I've been really busy with work and lots of other meetings and end of season stuff. Anyway, straight after work on Friday morning we left for Geneva airport to go to the UK and we have since made our way from London to Thatcham to Bournemouth to Leamington spa and now to Stourbridge. Saturday was the day of James's and Sarah's wedding in Bournemouth, the reception was out on the actual pier so we did make it from snow and skiing to being on the beach in just over 24h! A great day meeting lots of Ross friends and enjoying ourselves! Only one photo so far as I had to do a factory reset on my phone yesterday, but as soon as I get access to dropbox some more will follow.Sunday we went to Leamington spa to visit Ross granddadfor his birthday, lots of family, cake and music by Ross cousins made the day lovely. After which it was time to head to Stourbridge where we now got two more days before heading back to Tignes to finish up the winter.

Been back to working a bit more this past week which has been nice, apart from getting absolutely soaked in the rain that we got on Tuesday. Spring is definitely here now though, warm temps, marmots have come out to play, spotted a massive eagle the other day and lots of flowers like crocus and coltsfoot are showing up everywhere. Time to get the summer clothes out of storage!
Yesterday was also our 4th anniversary which meant a nice dinner out at the clin d'oeil to celebrate! Really good food and especially the cheesecake with lemon sorbet on top! Yum!

Couloir des pisteurs

Yesterday we decided to do some off piste even though it hasn't snowed here in a while. Conditions are fairly stable at the moment as well, avalanche risk 1/5. So we ended up heading over to Val and the Grand Pré for the Pisteurs couloir. You can take a few routes down the couloir, as explained by the guide book (see pic) and below is the one we took (in green). During our walk in the weather started clearing up so we actually got some sun skiing down which was really nice and gave us a bit more visibility. Some decent snow in the lower parts too, bonus. The day also included the North Face of Borsat as a warm up and a Telegraph at the end of the day.
