Val d'Isère opened up for summer skiing on Sunday with a few slopes in the Bellevarde, first time in 82 years. I of course couldn't resist the temptation and headed up for a morning ski. Safe to say, I wasn't there for first lifts at 6.30am got up with the funi at 8 which was good as the snow still was hard but just starting to transform a bit. Lapped the pistes until it got too sticky to get all the way to the marmotte chair. Definitely worth it and conditions were at least as good as end of season is usually if not better!
